Dattātreyayogaśāstra 106–107: From Stable Union to Deep Accumulation

Sustained practice brings about the Ghaṭa stage; idle discussion without practice does not perfect yoga. The yogi should therefore continue with every effort until the Paricaya stage arises from practice.

In this way (evam), the Union Stage (ghaṭāvasthā | nom sg) arises (bhavet | 3p sg act opt) through constant practice (satatābhyāsayogataḥ). Yoga (yogasya | gen sg) is not (na) mastered (sidhyati | 3p sg act pres) through idle (vṛthā) discourse (goṣṭhyā | ins sg) without practice (anabhyāsena | ins sg).
Dr. Ronald Steiner - 2026 - historically literal
The Union Stage, Ghaṭa, arises through steady practice. Yoga is not realised through idle talk without practice.

Therefore (tasmāt | abl sg n), one should make every effort (sarvaprayatnena | ins sg) to practise (samabhyaset | 3p sg act opt) nothing but (eva) yoga (yogam | acc sg). Then (tataḥ), the Accumulation Stage (paricayāvasthā | nom sg) arises (jāyate | 3p sg med pres) from engaging in the practice (abhyāsayogataḥ).
Dr. Ronald Steiner - 2026 - historically literal
One should therefore devote every effort to yoga. Sustained practice gives rise to the Accumulation Stage, Paricaya.

Daily practice first! Vielleicht nicht Tag und Nacht, aber regelmäßig. Eine unabdingbare Voraussetzung, um zu unterrichten. Vielleicht sogar die Wichtigste.
