DYS 1–1*1: Viṣṇu and Nṛsiṃha

Dattātreyayogaśāstra 1–1*1: Consciousness, Bliss, and the Pacification of Obstacles

The two invocations revere Viṣṇu, who dwells in the heart-lotuses of yogins, is conceived both with and without qualities, and is reached through yoga, and Nṛsiṃha as the form of consciousness and bliss. The first asks that obstacles be brought to rest as the path of instruction begins.

For the pacification of obstacles (vighna-śāntaye | dat sg), I revere (vande | 1p sg med pres) Viṣṇu (viṣṇum | acc sg), who dwells in the heart-lotuses of yogins (yogi-hṛt-kamala-āvāsam | acc sg), is endowed with qualities (saguṇam | acc sg m) and, on the other hand (punaḥ), free from qualities (nirguṇam | acc sg m), attainable through yoga (yoga-gamyam | acc sg m), and formed of consciousness (cid-rūpam | acc sg m).
Dr. Ronald Steiner - 2026 - historically literal
I revere Viṣṇu, who is at once manifest with qualities and free of them. He dwells in the heart-lotuses of yogins, is reached through yoga, and has the form of consciousness. May this bring all obstacles to rest.

Viel Freude euch heute Abend!
Morgen!!
